Nov 9, Team Manager Workshop, 9-12:30: $25, ISD 287  
We welcome ALL TMs to the entire Workshop day!

Alert! Our Team Manager Workshop on November 9 has been restyled! New time is 9 AM – 12:30 PM. This is a rich and comprehensive training, geared toward new team managers, but appropriate for all. Led by MN DI officials and experienced team managers and alumni, we will cover the basics, providing an overview of the program – what you’ll need to get started, Instant Challenge, team building and decision making, and we will dissect a Team Challenge for practice. Our goal is to get you started on the right foot and comfortable with the Destination Imagination program. This is for Rising Stars! team managers, too!

This workshop will be a new Team Manager Extravaganza, covering all aspects of team managing. We will walk through the entire DI season with team managers from signing up to Tournament day, discuss tips and tricks and skill building; and present Rising Stars! team managers with the ABCs for our youngest DI’ers. 

This workshop will include brief presentations on Instant Challenge, Interference,  Team Choice Elements and Improv techniques for all teams.

These half-day workshops for Teams and Team Managers will give you BOTH the opportunity to practice several instant challenges.  Demystify Instant Challenge!  Your team will engage in a round robin intensive IC session for a morning.  Observe different creative strategies and techniques for solving all different types of ICs, and boost your confidence in this hands-on, FUN workshop!  Led by experienced Team Managers, Challenge Masters, IC Appraisers, and long-time DI’ers, your team will leave feeling on top of IC!

Dec 14, Hands-On Skills for Teams, 9-12 and 1-4, $60/team, ISD 287 
Back by popular demand! This session will give teams hands-on experience with all kinds of tools and gizmos, focusing on developing some skills and familiarity with Tools and Safety, Woodworking, Basic Electronics and Simple Machines. Develop skills for most Challenges! (AM and PM Sessions are FULL).

Instant Challenge practice for our early learners! A fun hands-on morning for our rising DI stars! All teams must be accompanied by an adult. 

Jan 11, Engineering Challenge Structure Workshop for teams, 9-12 and 1-4, $30/team
Engineering Teams!  Check out this great training JUST FOR YOU. We will cover all the basics, including understanding the In The Cards Challenge, construction, testing your structures, what to expect at weigh-in, how scoring a structure works, understanding materials, and a little bit of everything that will be especially helpful to newer teams to the challenge.

The folks and classes at BNW are AWESOME!!! Improv is for EVERYONE!! Amp your Instant Challenge and your Team Challenge solutions with your improv skills!

Liability waivers are attached to the registration system, and team managers should have each group member’s parents or guardian sign the waiver before they arrive on site.

Meet face to face with our MN DI Affiliate Challenge Masters, who will answer your questions about the season’s upcoming Tournaments, and describe tournament day procedures for each Challenge.  This is like having a secret weapon!  Don’t miss this opportunity!  Open to all Team Managers and Secondary Level Teams.
